Smash or Save Jack-o-Lantern Contest

Halloween Event Description: Get ready, Halifax! On Sunday, October 27th from 1-4 PM, we’re throwing the 1st Annual Smash or Save Jack-o-Lantern Contest. It’s free to enter, fun for the whole family, and it’s going to be epic!
Here’s how it works:
• Bring your own pumpkin (carve on-site or at home).
• Your pumpkin gets auctioned off—highest bidder decides whether it gets SMASHED or SAVED!
• Prizes for best pumpkin categories including adult, local business, children, overall best.
• All auction proceeds go to local charities supporting the homeless.
There will also be a kid’s only costume contest with a prize given out to the best dressed boy or ghoul! And while you’re there, warm up with a free bowl of chili, a hot cup of hot chocolate (courtesy of our friends at Quinprint) or chase that sugar high with candy for the kids (all free until its gone).
Queer Creatives Space Fundraiser: Felted Ghosties

Halloween Event Description: Hi Spooky Friends! Queer Creatives Space is having a Pay What You Can Fundraiser in the form of a beginner-friendly Felted Ghosties workshop! AH! FRIGHTENING – A Halloween Extravaganza!

Halloween Event Description: Celebrate the quickening of the harvest and the coming of spectral fiends at the Bus Stop Theatre Co-operative this year. Spend October 30th-November 1st haunting days watching spooky movies, shaking that booooty to spectral jams, and reaping a final harvest of membership talent over an evening of performances that will turn your hair white with fright!
The Frightening is a three day fundraiser for the Bus Stop Theatre Co-Op!
Day one, October 30: A scary movie marathon, featuring 3 classic films
Tickets: $20 full marathon, $8 per movie
Day two, Halloween Night: A costume contest and dance party with DJ TK
Tickets: $12/PWYC
Day three, November 1: An evening presentation of creepy performances created and performed by Co-op members (like you!).

Halloween Event Description: Come join this free family-friendly event at the Neighbourhood Shop on October 31! Your neighbour Darrin will guide you through a night of printmaking using woodblocks and lino. Prints will be made using our relief printing press and can be done on paper or fabric. Spooky stencils will be available for little ones including pumpkins, bats, ghosts, cats, and a witch's hat.
