The Marketing and Event Coordinator focuses on marketing the North End District, and event planning and management (approximately 15 events/year). As a North End Business Association (NEBA) team member, the Marketing and Event Coordinator will also support other projects & activities of the organization and take ownership of regular administrative duties.


Qualifications:

The successful candidate will ideally be a creative thinker, outgoing with a good sense of humour. The following qualifications would also be of benefit:

· Event management/marketing experience (a degree or diploma in marketing event planning or related field and/or relevant experience)

· Experience creating marking materials and working with social media platforms

· Ability to write proposals and reports, and manage project budgets

· Working knowledge of Canva, Google Drive and Microsoft Office, including Excel

· Ability to work in high pressure situations and meet tight deadlines

· Willingness and aptitude to develop connections within the North End business and residential community

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including occasional evenings and weekends, specifically around the event schedules

· Ability to perform some required physical set ups and heavy lifting

· Possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record



Ongoing Responsibilities & Duties

· Event Planning - Coordinate, plan and execute events such as outdoor markets, street festivals and member engagements, including volunteer recruitment as needed

· Marketing - Oversee promotions, group marketing campaigns, and manage NEBA social media accounts, including content creation and meeting growth benchmarks

· Administration - Research and prepare grant proposals. Prepare post-event or promotion reports, and keep accurate records of NEBA inventory & supplies. Communicate with NEBA membership.


Position Type: Full Time – Permanent. 35 hours per week

Salary: $39,000 – 45,000
