The North End Business Association has once again collaborated with four gifted local artists to create this year's "Love Notes From The North End"—a collection of postcards celebrating the love for our North End community. "With Love" By Jordan Johnson

Jordan Johnson is a multidisciplinary artist based in Halifax. Inspired by music, fellow black artists, and nature, her works encourage personal connection and interpretation. This piece captures the warmth and charm of the North End, inspired by its cozy atmosphere and creative spirit. The clouds in the background are from a photograph Jordan took during a walk home from working at Ramblers (café), grounding the design in a personal connection to the neighborhood. Drawing on the nostalgic comfort of vintage Valentine designs.

"Sister Houses" By Prince Churchill

Prince Churchill is a Haitian Canadian Multi-Disciplinary Designer and Multi-media artist. Prince explores many different media, but as of late, is experimenting with digital collages and art. For this work, Prince was inspired by all the brightly coloured homes that can be found in the North End of Halifax. The colours make the community feel more inviting and welcoming.

"North End Medley" By Ilyes Chibane

Ilyes Chibane is a multimedia visual artist and musician with a background in architecture and design. Ilyes likes to draw inspiration from their environment and experience it through urban sketching. In this piece, Ilyes wanted to capture the architectural and urban landscape of this diverse and lively neighborhood. Work done with a blue fountain pen and colored pencils.

Suraiya Gazi is a North End Halifax based, Bangladeshi Canadian artist. Works with watercolors and acrylics, inspired by wildlife, nature and travels. She creates hobby and commission artworks. For this piece, using line and wash watercolor technique, Suraiya aimed to capture the idyllic ambiance and the vibrant spirit of our community.
